Darlene Frank, 84, of Connersville

Darlene Frank, 84, of Connersville, Indiana, passed away on March 26, 2026 and is at peace after a courageous and strong battle against MDS/Leukemia.
Born on February 4, 1942, in Rushville, IN, she was the first of four daughters blessed to Robert and Wannetta (Martin). Darlene graduated from Fayette Central High School in 1960 and went on to build a life centered around hard work, faith, and family. She was married to Andrew J. Frank on June 12, 1965, at St. Gabriel Church in Connersville, IN.
Throughout the years, Darlene dedicated herself to serving others in both her professional and personal life. She worked at Miller Cafeteria, HH Robertson, Schube Drug Store, Warehouse Furniture, Star Bank, NasCorp, Twins Catering, and Co-owner of Twins Sugar Shack, and also served as co-manager at the Knights of Columbus. In every role, she was known for her warm smile, strong work ethic, and genuine care for those around her.
Darlene was a devoted member of St. Gabriel Church where she volunteered as part of the mailing group and bereavement committee, member of the Daughters of Isabella and the Saint Anne Altar Society. Her faith was an important part of her life and was reflected in her kindness, generosity, and the way she brought people together.
She found great joy in traveling, camping, attending high school class gatherings, and most of all, spending time with her family and friends. Darlene had a special gift for making others feel welcome, and her home and heart were always open.
She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Andrew Frank; children, Deborah (Frank) Napier, Steven Frank and wife Kimberly (Lowther-Monaghan); siblings Eileene (Hilbert) Wiley, Donna (Hilbert) Gansert and husband Mike and Nancy (Hilbert) Cloyd and husband Bobby; grandchildren Alexa Frank, Christopher Frank and Maxwell Napier; and various nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Wannetta (Martin) Hilbert; her in-laws, Edward and Marie Frank; her daughter-in-law, Tanya (Caldwell) Frank; her brothers-in-law, Joseph Wiley and Roman Frank; her sisters-in-law, Theresa Doerflein, Christina Powell, and Alvina Turner; and her nephews, Mark and Bryon Wiley; and various aunts and uncles.
Friends and family may visit her at Miller, Moster, Robbins funeral home in Connersville, IN with rosary starting at 3:30 on Monday March 30, 2026 and visitation immediately following. The mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10:30 on Tuesday March 31, 2026 in St, Gabriel Catholic Church. The burial will be at Dale Cemetery immediately following the mass.
Darlene will be remembered for her loving spirit, her dedication to her family, and the many lives she touched through her kindness and compassion. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
