Andy Belt of Connersville passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday April 8, 2026, at the age of 61. Andy was born on December 14, 1964, in Cincinnati, OH, one of eight children born to Revena Sue (Smith) Belt and the late Claude “Doc” Belt, Jr.
Andy graduated from Connersville Sr. High School with the class of 1984. He was a member of VFW and AmVets. Currently, he worked as a caregiver for CRF. Over the years he has worked with J & J Packaging, tending bar at Huffy’s and Fantasy Inn, in the dietary department at Fayette Memorial Hospital and as custodian at Connersville High School.
Outside of work, Andy found joy in the simple things. You could find him relaxing by playing country or southern rock music on his guitar or enjoying bingo. He was an avid fan of the Indianapolis Colts, Cincinnati Red and Indiana University Basketball. He thoroughly enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.
His love and memories will be cherished by his mother, Sue Cooksey; daughter, Brandi Jones; grandchildren, Austin Jones, Jayci Brockman and Jamason Hall and a great grandson, Jaylon Jr. He will be thought of often by his brothers, Denver (Janet) Belt and Elvis (Lisa) Belt; sisters, Sherry (JR) Mullins, Marilyn (Mark) Pollitt, Brenda (Charles) Gradeless, Lisa (James) Callahan and Angela Bunch; step-brother, Chris Cooksey; uncle, Ronnie Smith; aunts, Copalee Belt and Glenna Doulin; a cousin Wanda, who was raised like a sister, as well as many other cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at Urban Winkler Funeral Home, 513 W 8th Street, Connersville on Wednesday April 15, 2026, at 1:00 pm with Pastor David Pinter officiating. Family and friends may gather from 11:00 am until the time of the service. Andy will be laid to rest at Lick Creek Cemetery.
