Lillian Elaine O’Neal, 77, of Connersville
Lillian Elaine O’Neal of Connersville passed away on Wednesday, February 25, 2026, in Columbus, IN at the age of 77. Elaine was born in Connersville, IN on May 26, 1948, the daughter of the late Pat R. Epps and Elsie Manning Epps.
On December 21, 1984, in Connersville, she was united in marriage to Richard “Dick” O’Neal. They shared 37 years of marriage prior to his death on April 13, 2021.
Elaine graduated from Connersville High School with the Class of 1966. She went on to work for Western Union, was a Crossing Guard for the City of Connersville for many years and retired while working for Mauger’s of Connersville. After retiring she became the caregiver for her late husband.
Along with Richard, she was a member of Lions Club, where he served as President for many years. She enjoyed watching football and playing cards. She also loved all animals, especially her two cats, Fancy and Angel.
Her love and memories will be held close to the hearts of her sons, Chad (Jennifer) Friend and Shane Friend; a grandson, Loggan Friend; sister Susan Hodge; and a niece, Whitney Jenkins.
Funeral services will be conducted at Urban Winkler Funeral Home, 513 W 8th Street, Connersville on Saturday March 7, 2026, at 1:00 pm. Friends and family may gather from 11:00 am until the hour of the service. Elaine will be laid to rest at Sims Cemetery in Fairfield, IN.
