Mickey Paxson, 70, of Connersville,

Mickey Paxson of Connersville, passed away after an extended health battle on Sunday January 18, 2026, at the age of 70. He was born on May 20, 1955, the son of Mary Lynn McAfee Lee and the late David Lee Paxson.
Mickey was a graduate of Heritage High School located in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
Mickey had a heart for caring for people. He worked in the medical field as paramedic for over a decade. He also served his community as a deputy coroner and later worked as the Fayette County Coroner for 2 years. Mickey also volunteered his time as fireman for many years at the Poe Volunteer Fire Department. For an extended time, he worked for Tom Clark at Clark’s Auto and as a salesman at Mike’s Cycle and Auto.
Mickey was a people person, he enjoyed relaxing while catching up with his buddies. He loved watching racing, specifically his son’s races. Mickey was the life of the party and always ready to have a good time spent with those he loved most. He will be sorely missed by many.
Mickey is survived by his children; sons, Michael (Chelsea) Paxson, Joey (Tara) Paxson, and daughter, Ashley Thomas. He will be greatly missed by his sister, Brenda Clark. His memory will live on in his grandchildren; Michael Ray Paxson, Ember Paxson, Natalie Paxson, Charleigh Murray, and his great-granddaughter, Oaklynn Paxson.
Mickey is preceded in death by his father, David Paxson.
Friends and Family may visit Urban Winkler Funeral Home located at 513 W 8th Street Connersville, Indiana 47331 on Friday, January 23, 2026 from 5:00PM to 7:00PM. Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00PM.
