
Pauline Baker, 86, of Connersville, passed away Saturday, March 28, 2026, at Our Hospice of South Central Indiana in Columbus, Indiana.
One of seven children of William and Jewell Lakes Gabbard, Pauline was born on September 14, 1939, in McKee Kentucky and came to Connersville as a child with her family and graduated from Connersville High School.
On October 2, 1954, Pauline was united in marriage to Leo Baker. Together, they shared 65 years of marriage until his death on September 22, 2019.
Pauline was a dedicated worker, serving as a Sales Consultant for Home Interior Gifts, Inc. A woman of deep faith, she was a member of Everton Southern Baptist Church. Above all, she cherished the time spent with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Survivors include five children, Cindy (Van) Gambrel, Dennis (Leslie) Baker, Brian Baker, Kevin Baker, and Greg Baker; nine grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren. She is also survived by two brothers, Danny (Maria) Gabbard and Donny Gabbard; a sister, Geneva Hinners; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Pauline was preceded in death by her husband, Leo Baker; her parents; a son, Biff Baker; two sisters, Phyllis Carroll and Mamie Hollin; and a brother, Bill Gabbard.
A graveside service will be held in Dale Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
