Charlotte Ann Telker, 90, of Brownsville

Charlotte Ann Telker, 90, of Brownsville, passed away early Wednesday morning, February 25, 2026, at Hickory Creek Nursing Home in Connersville.
A daughter of Kermit and Mildred Gettinger May, Charlotte was born on July 3, 1935, in Fayette County. She grew up in the area and was a proud 1953 graduate of Brownsville High School.
On December 4, 1955, Charlotte was united in marriage at the Brownsville United Methodist Church to Howard E. Telker. They shared over sixty-one years of marriage and built a life centered on family and faith before Mr. Telker passed away on October 7, 2017.
Charlotte was a familiar face and a dedicated worker in the community. She served as an Avon Lady for 30 years, visiting with neighbors and friends.
She also served as the Officer in Charge at the Brownsville Post Office for 18 years, retiring in 2003.
A lifelong and faithful member of the Brownsville United Methodist Church, Charlotte’s life was defined by her love of music. She began playing the organ for her church at the age of 15 and continued to share her gift for many decades. Her church family meant more than words to her and she prayed for them every night. Charlotte was also a part of the Reid Health PACE program and developed amazing friendships that she looked forward to seeing every week.
Beyond her music, she was a devoted homemaker who found her greatest joy in caring for her home and her growing family.
