Mildred Fuller, 91, of Connersville

Mildred Fuller, 91, died Saturday, November 29, 2025 with family at her side at Caroleton Healthcare Center in Connersville Indiana. She was born on September 29, 1934, in the family home in Bucktown, Indiana to William Lee Rooksbury and Helen Clark Rooksbury. Mildred graduated from Pleasantville High School in 1952. After high school she married the father of her children, Virgil L. Shipley, and moved to Fayette County Indiana. While raising 5 children, Mildred obtained her initial nursing degree in 1967 from Reid Hospital.

In 1979 she married Donald C. Fuller and continued her nursing education at Marian University in Indianapolis, graduating with the class of 1984 as a registered nurse.

During her nursing career of over 60 years, she worked at Reid Hospital, Fayette Memorial Hospital, Rush Memorial Hospital, Stant and Home Health Care.

Survivors include sons Randy (Faye) Shipley, Mike (Wende) Shipley, Mark (Celines) Shipley, and daughter Karen Ross. Also, grandchildren Tammy (Jason) Roszell, Christy (Corey) Boling, Angie (Walt) Conley, Carrie (Travis) Lykins, Aimee (Josh) Harrison, Chelli (Justin) Horn, Alyssa Lewis, Arianna Lewis, McKenzie Lewis, Michael (Katie) Shipley, Katelyn Shipley, Brennan Shipley, Kevin (Emily) Reece and Chrissy Ross. She is also missed by 36 great grandchildren and 10 great-great grandchildren along with her brother Robert Rooksberry and sister-in-law Carol Rooksberry, nieces and nephews.

Mildred was preceded in death by her parents, her husbands, daughter Kathy Roszell, grandsons Jeremy Ross and Jamie Roszell and great grandson Parker Harrison, her brother William “Dink” Rooksberry and sisters Martha Rooksberry, Katherine (Kaye) Ellis and Margaret Savage.

Visitation will be on Friday, December 5th from 11:00 AM-1:00 PM with a memorial service following at Miller Moster Robbins Funeral Home in Connersville, Indiana. Graveside services will be in Woodward Cemetery in Dugger, Indiana on Saturday, December 6th at 12 Noon.
