Multiple volunteer fire departments responded to a residence in Everton early Sunday morning following reports of a stove fire.

At approximately 1:10 a.m., dispatchers alerted crews to the 5800 block of West County Road 290 regarding the incident.

The Everton Volunteer Fire Department, Bentonville Volunteer Fire Department, and Glenwood Volunteer Fire Department responded to the scene, along with Fayette County EMS.

Upon arrival, first responders found that the homeowner had successfully contained the primary fire before units reached the residence. Fire personnel immediately began operations to check for fire extension to the rest of the structure.

During the inspection, crews located several hot spots along the exterior of the home. Firefighters extinguished these remaining spots to ensure the fire was fully suppressed.

The scene was eventually cleared, and the family was permitted to re-enter the residence.
