Karen Sue Vanhoose, 59, of Connersville

Karen Sue Vanhoose, 59, of Connersville, passed away Friday morning, February 20, 2026, at her mother’s residence surrounded by her family.
One of three children of Denzil Leroy and Willie Sue Taylor McGillem, Karen was born on March 27, 1966, in Connersville.
For many years, Karen was a dedicated and familiar face at the Dollar General Store, where she worked as a clerk. Known for her strong work ethic, she took great pride in her job and the community she served.
In her leisure time, Karen enjoyed the simple pleasures of life. She had a passion for gardening and found peace in planting flowers. She was also an avid fan of NASCAR and enjoyed watching game shows. Above all, she cherished the time spent with her family.
Survivors include her mother, Willie Sue McGillem of Connersville; three children, Steven Michael Davidson, Ashley Nichole Davidson, and Tanya Davidson; two brothers, Robert Lee McGillem and Jeffrey Alan McGillem. She was also a proud grandmother to several grandchildren.
Karen was preceded in death by her father, Denzil Leroy McGillem, and her grandparents.
Family and friends may visit from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 25, 2026 at Miller, Moster, Robbins Funeral Home. Pastor Stan Howard will officiate.
