Carter Wayne Baker, 48, of Churubusco

Carter Wayne Baker, 48, of Churubusco, Indiana, passed away Friday morning, February 20, 2026, at his home.

One of two children of Larry C. and Janet L. Fields Baker, Carter was born on August 12, 1977, in Fayette County, Indiana. He attended Connersville High School, graduating with the class of 1996. Following high school, he pursued his passion for technology, earning a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering.

For many years, Carter was a dedicated Computer Engineer for Elite Technology LLC in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Outside of his professional life, he was a lifelong enthusiast of computers and technology, always staying curious about the latest innovations in his field.

Survivors include his son, Noah James Baker; his parents, Larry C. and Janet L. Baker of Connersville; a brother, Matthew Baker; a nephew, Brennon Baker; and a niece, Bella Baker. He is also survived by a great-niece, Avalynn Baker, and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Carter was preceded in death by his infant twins; his paternal grandparents, Carter T. and Margaret M. Alexander Baker; and his maternal grandparents, Wayne and Marjorie Hatfield Fields.

Family and friends may visit from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, March 2, 2026 at Miller, Moster, Robbins Funeral Home. Eric Hopkins will officiate. Burial will follow in Dale Cemetery.
