James Albert “Jim” Neuman, 73, of Connersville
James Albert “Jim” Neuman, 73, of Connersville, passed away Friday, January 16, 2026, at Community Hospital South in Indianapolis.
One of eight children of William J. and Delores M. Metzger Neuman, Jim was born on September 22, 1952, in Connersville. He attended St. Gabriel School and was a 1971 graduate of Connersville High School.
Jim was a dedicated worker, serving at IMI for 33 ½ years until his retirement in 2010. Following his retirement, he enjoyed staying active in the workforce and worked part-time with Container Craft.
A faithful member of St. Gabriel Catholic Church, Jim lived his faith through service, often volunteering his time as a church usher. In his leisure time, he enjoyed the simple pleasures of life and was deeply devoted to his family.
Survivors include two children, Jennifer (Luis) Flores of Indianapolis and Michael Neuman of Connersville; three grandchildren, Darian, David, and Karina Flores; three brothers, John (Tammie) Neuman of Cambridge City, David (Alesia) Neuman of Greensburg, and Lew Neuman of Arlington Heights, Illinois; and three sisters, Diane (Daniel) Pflum, Patricia Wise, and Mary (Rich) Fain, all of Connersville. He also leaves behind several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents, William and Delores Neuman; a brother, Thomas Neuman; and a brother-in-law, Lowell Wise.
Recitation of the Rosary will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. followed by visitation until the time of service at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, January 23, 2026 at Miller, Moster, Robbins Funeral Home. Reverend Bobby Vogel will officiate. Burial will follow in Dale Cemetery.
