Carolyn Whitlow
While resting peacefully at home, with her loving family by her side, the Angels of the Lord escorted Carolyn Whitlow to glory. Carolyn was born in Arlington, Kentucky on February 8, 1939, the daughter of Aubrey Moss Green and Avril Evaleen Anderson Green.
On June 28, 1958, in Corinth, Mississippi, she was united in marriage to the love of her life, Sherman Jr. Whitlow. They shared 58 years of marriage prior to his death in 2016. They were blessed with three children.
Carolyn was a devoted pastor’s wife of over 38 years at Missionary Bible Baptist Church in Indianapolis. Carolyn was a faithful member of Garrison Creek Baptist Church. She loved attending church and reading her bible daily. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother that enjoyed working in her flower and vegetable gardens, making quilts, taking care of her fur baby, Latte, word searches, and puzzles. She valued her faith and family above all.
Her love and memories will be cherished by her children, John (Kim) Whitlow, Sue (Tim) Fluty and Sherri Whitlow; siblings, H.B. Green and Ellen (Joe) Berryhill; grandchildren, Amanda Laughlin, Josh Whitlow and Jatonna Perry; great grandchildren, Shaina, Jacob, Eli, Bryce, Kailynne, Carlee and Taytum; great-great grandchildren, Lydia and Gabe, as well as several nieces and nephews.
The family takes comfort in knowing that heaven is filled with the people she loved including her parents, her husband, siblings, Alfred (Kay) Green, and Dale (James) Webb and a grandson, Shane Fluty.
Friends and family may gather on Monday January 19, 2026, at Urban Winkler Funeral Home, 513 West 8th St. Connersville from 12:00 noon until 2:00pm. Funeral services will be conducted by her son-in-law, Pastor Tim Fluty at 2:00 pm. Burial will take place at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens in Greenwood, IN on Thursday January 22, 2026, at 1:00 pm.
