Michael James Morris, age 67, left this world surrounded by loved ones on Monday, December 29th, 2025.
He was born July 18th, 1958 to Gene and Dorothy (Hayes) Morris. He graduated from Northeastern High School in 1976, worked for many years at County Market in Richmond until starting his own home inspection business. This venture led to his employment as a Home Efficiency Specialist at Community Action, where he worked diligently to best care for his clients and those in need in the community. Throughout his life he worked with various employers until most recently retiring from Stant in Connersville.
He married his wife Jennifer on June 12th, 1999, and gained a daughter, Becky. Together they were a family for 26 wonderful years. He is survived by Jennifer, his daughter Becky Dalrymple, son-in-law Dylan, and grandsons Rylan, Gatlin and Rhett plus one special bundle of joy on the way. He also leaves behind his precious dog, Charleigh, who was according to him the world’s best Border Collie.
He is also survived by his brother Greg Morris, sister Stacy Blanton, both of Richmond, niece Brittany, nephew Donovan and great nephews Josiah and Elijah. His aunt Betty Lou Steele and cousins also survive. He is preceded in death by his parents.
Mike was an incredible person, Papaw, father and husband who will be missed terribly. He was wonderfully kindhearted, a lover of all animals, and a voracious reader. Most of all he enjoyed spending time and playing games with his grandsons when he wasn’t spoiling Charleigh-dog with car rides and McDonalds cheeseburgers.
Family and friends are invited to gather Saturday, January 3rd, 2026 at 1 o’clock at Community Gospel Church, 250 Erie Ave., Connersville.
