Gerlinde Hendry, 73, of Connersville

Gerlinde Hendry, 73, of Connersville, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, November 22, 2025, at Heritage House of Connersville.

Born July 19, 1952, in Alzey, Germany, she was the daughter of Adolph and Renate Lindemayer Faubel. She came to America in 1969 and moved to Connersville in 1990. She was a high school graduate of Germany and earned her bachelor’s degree in early childhood development from Indiana University East.

From 2004 until her retirement in 2013, she worked as a Developmental Therapist for First Steps of Indiana.

Gerlinde was a faithful member of Higher Praise Worship Center. She enjoyed cooking, reading, gardening, watching the Colts, and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband, David Hendry; mother, Renate (Art) Arnold of Las Vegas, Nevada; daughter-in-law, Shelley Dugle of Greer, South Carolina; grandchildren, Christopher Jackson Dugle of Greenville, South Carolina, Karly (Ryon) Sipes of Manilla, Indiana, Isabelle Dugle, and Allyson Dugle, both of Greer, South Carolina; and two great-grandchildren, Korra Sipes and Kaiya Sipes; her extended family in Germany.

Gerlinde was preceded in death by her father, Adolph Faubel; and her two sons, Scott Dugle and Rick Dugle.

Friends may visit from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 29, 2025 at the Higher Praise Worship Center, 812 Ziegler Road, Connersville. Reverend Richard Ware will officiate. Miller, Moster, Robbins Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
