Fairlyn Rose Clawson, 80, of Indianapolis passed away Sunday, Feb 15, 2026, at the Chalet Health and Rehab in Indianapolis, where she had been a resident for four years.
She was born January 18, 1946, in Indianapolis, the daughter of James Z. and Mary P. Armacost Smith. A 1964 graduate of Fountain City High School.
On March 22, 1969 she was married in Richmond to Michael Wayne Clawson. Mr. Clawson passed away Oct 31, 2015.
Fairlyn was employed as a clerk at Hendrich’s Petroleum in Connersville, retiring in 2002.
She was a member of the Bethel Christian Church in Bethel, Indiana.
Survivors include a brother, Larry (Bea Ann) Smith of New Paris, Ohio; a sister, Dottie Jarrett of Indianapolis; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Michael, and one sister, Joyce Boyd.
Funeral services will be conducted by Pastor Stan Howard at 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday February 24, 2026 in Miller, Moster, Robbins Funeral Home. Burial will be in Dale Cemetery. Friends may call from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service on Tuesday.
