Lois Ruth Roberts, 96, of Connersville

Lois Ruth Roberts, 96, of Connersville, passed away Monday afternoon, November 17, 2025.

Born January 28, 1929, in Connersville, Lois was one of three children born to Leo and Hazel Hillman Pohlman. She attended Milton School and graduated from Harrisburg High School in 1947.

Lois married John M. Roberts on November 29, 1947, at the First Presbyterian Church in Connersville. They shared nearly 57 years of marriage and lived in the family home that John and his father built. Mr. Roberts passed away on November 20, 2004.

She attended Harrisburg Union Church and later First Baptist Church of Connersville.

Lois was a devoted and loving homemaker, wife, and mother who focused on her family. She enjoyed cooking, quilting, playing the piano, and spending time with her family, neighbors, and friends, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She and her husband also enjoyed camping, traveling, and motorcycle rides.

Lois is survived by two sons, Gary L. (Terri) Roberts of Fort Wayne, Indiana, and John R. (Nina) Roberts of Connersville; grandchildren, Megan N. Roberts, Jordan (Tara) Roberts, Lee (Suin) Roberts, and Jessica Roberts; and her great-grandchildren, Lilly Roberts, Carson, Colton, and Andi Roberts, and Swayzie Jones; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Lois was preceded in death by her husband, John M. Roberts; her parents; a brother, Robert Pohlman; and a sister, Doris Higgs.

Family and friends may visit from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 26, 2025 at Miller, Moster, Robbins Funeral Home. Father Dustin Boehm will officiate. Burial will follow in Valley Grove Cemetery.
