On May 23, 2025, at approximately 4:15 PM, a traffic stop conducted by Fayette County Sheriff’s Department Deputy Mollaun in the 200 block of Timber Creek Dr. in Connersville led to the discovery of a significant quantity of methamphetamine.

According to reports, Sgt. Ammerman and K9 Joker of the Connersville Police Department were requested to assist at the scene. Following the deployment of K9 Joker for an exterior sniff of the vehicle, a positive indication was reportedly received.

A subsequent search of the vehicle allegedly resulted in the discovery of approximately 34 grams of methamphetamine. Connersville Police Department officers provided assistance at the scene.

The National Institute on Drug Abuse states that methamphetamine is a highly potent and addictive stimulant. Even small amounts of methamphetamine can have significant physiological effects on the body. Larger quantities, such as the 34 grams allegedly discovered, represent a substantial amount of the substance. According to various sources, the lethal dose of methamphetamine can vary depending on individual factors such as purity, tolerance, and route of administration. However, even a relatively small dose can be fatal for some individuals, and larger amounts significantly increase the risk of overdose and death.

The investigation into this incident is ongoing.
