CONNERSVILLE, IN – The Connersville Lions Club recently recognized the academic and athletic achievements of four Connersville High School seniors, awarding them scholarships at the 2025 Connersville High School Scholarship Awards program. The event took place on Wednesday, April 30th, at the Robert E. Wise auditorium.
Bob Powell, President of The Connersville Lions Club, announced the recipients. Peyton Sherwood was awarded the John Holmes Memorial Scholarship. Sadie Burkhead received the Robert Price Scholarship. Kaden Mapes was the recipient of the Charles Heck Scholarship, and Bailey Rene Lucas was honored with the Athletic Scholarship.
In a statement, Powell expressed the club’s pride in the graduates: “recently awarded 4 Seniors with Scholarships on April, 30th at the 2025 Connersville High School Scholarship Awards program at the Robert E. Wise auditorium. Peyton Sherwood received the John Holmes Memorial Scholarship, Sadie Burkhead received the Robert Price Scholarship, Kaden Mapes received the Charles Heck Scholarship & Bailey Rene Lucas recieved the Athletic Scholarship. The Connersville Lions Club has a longstanding tradition of supporting the community’s youth and their pursuit of higher education and future aspirations. The scholarships awarded will provide financial assistance to these students as they embark on their chosen paths after graduation.
