
Terry Ray Garrison, formerly of Connersville, passed away after an extended illness, on Saturday February 14, 2026. Terry entered the gates of heaven surrounded by his loving family at the age of 63. He was born on March 7, 1962 in Connersville, IN, one of four sons to the late Raymond Garrison and Freda Spivey Garrison.
He served in the Indiana National Guard for several years. He was self-employed through the construction industry; where he worked as a carpenter, painter, and roofer his entire career.
Terry was an all-star basketball player in his prime, his numerous trophies are still displayed by his supportive family. He was a sports fanatic, he really enjoyed watching his Indianapolis Colts get a win. He appreciated the music from the past, including classic rock and country music. Terry liked the outdoors, he especially enjoyed relaxing while casting his fishing line.
He adored his family and loved nothing more than being present in his children and grandchildren’s lives. Terry lived with Tara and Mike for an extended period, he enjoyed nothing more than being a part of his grandchildren’s everyday life; and Tara and Mike cherished his help in their children’s raising. Terry will be greatly missed by those who loved him.
He is survived by his children; daughters, Tara Trevino (Michael Bell), Tiffany Garrison, Taleah Garrison, and son, Tyler Garrison. He will be greatly missed by his brother, Kenny Garrison (Tina), and his longtime best friends; Terry Fowler, Rob “Peanut” Newton, and Ray Richardson. His love and memories will live on through his grandchildren; Jayce Bell, Jaylyn Bell, Kayson Good, Layney Bell, Carson Wyatt, Tianna Garrison, Larissa Sayers (Zach) and his first great-granddaughter who is expected to arrive soon. He will be sorely missed by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family and friends.
Along with his parents, Terry is preceded in death by his brothers; Mike Garrison, and Jeff Garrison.
Friends and family may visit Urban Winkler Funeral Home located at 513 W 8th Street Connersville, IN 47331, on Monday February 23, 2026 from 10:00AM to 12:00PM. Funeral services will begin at 12:00PM. Burial will follow at Dale Cemetery.
