Connersville high school junior Grady Simpkins has been named the Sanders Jewelers Spartan Athlete of the Week following a productive three-game stretch for the boys’ basketball program.
Simpkins helped lead the Spartans to three consecutive victories, contributing a combined total of 39 points, 10 rebounds, 8 assists, and 3 steals across those contests.
The weekly honor, sponsored by local business Sanders Jewelers, recognizes individual student-athlete performances within the Connersville athletic department. Simpkins’ multi-categorical contributions were a primary factor in the team’s undefeated run over the last week of play.
