Joseph Ray Forbes, 55, of Connersville, passed away on Sunday, December 7, 2025, at Reid Health in Richmond.
He was born on July 18, 1970, in Connersville, the son of the late Joseph and Ethel Sorrell Forbes and graduated from New Creations High School in Richmond.
Joseph served his country in the United States Army.
Joseph was a skilled welder by trade. He was employed by Keener for over 20 years until his retirement due to disability.
In his leisure time, Joseph enjoyed the outdoors while fishing and spending time playing video games.
Survivors include his step-children, Chad Stephens and his wife, Lorene of Cambridge City, Stacy Stephens of Connersville, and Connie Geoff and her husband, Ryan of Greenfield; siblings, Carolyn Wafford of Connersville, James Hamblin and his wife, Reyna, of Tucson, Arizona, Scott Hepner and his wife, Elaine, of Ohio, John Reide of Hammond, Indiana, and Frankie Baker of Virginia. He is also blessed with several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Diana Hattie, and her husband, Louie; and twin sisters, Gena and Reyna Marie Forbes.
Family and friends may visit from 12:00 noon until the time of service at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 10, 2025 at Miller, Moster, Robbins Funeral Home. Pastor Ron Russell will officiate. Burial with military honors will follow in Springersville Cemetery.
