Betty Abbott, 88, of Connersville
Betty Abbott, 88, of Connersville, passed away on Monday, December 1, 2025, at Reid Health in Connersville.
One of nine children of Samuel and Mattilea Miller Hope, Betty was born on September 8, 1937, in Knoxville, Tennessee. She moved to Connersville as a child with her family and attended local schools.
Betty was employed at Visteon for 26 years, retiring from there; and was a faithful member of Western Avenue Baptist Church.
In her leisure time, Betty was an avid reader of her Bible and enjoyed cooking and listening to Elvis. Above all else, she was a woman who put her family first. She cherished the time she was able to spend with her grandchildren.
Survivors include three sons, Dale Richmond, Neil Richmond (Cassandra Messer), and Ronald (Bonnie) Elliott, all of Connersville; five siblings, Sallie (Joe) Willhelm, Larry Kiskaden, and Pat (Ken) Gray, all of Connersville, and Wilma Dixon and Donnie (Marsha) Kiskaden, both of Knoxville, Tennessee. She is also blessed with six grandchildren, Amanda Elliott, Brandy (Rick) Miller, Amanda (Greg) Fosnight, Josh (Betsy) Dunaway, Brandon (Jess) Welch, Brian (Ashley) Welch; and several great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; the father of her children, Albert Dale “Ab” Richmond, who passed away on October 23, 1983; and three brothers, Gene Mount, Jerry Mount, and Richard Mount.
Family and friends may visit from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 6, 2025 at Miller, Moster, Robbins Funeral Home. Jeremiah Burdon will officiate. Burial will follow in Laurel North Cemetery.
