Joyce Lanae Ladd, 69, of Connersville, passed away Tuesday morning, March 31, 2026, at her residence.
A daughter of Donna Hoskins, Lanae was born on August 8, 1956, in Connersville.
On January 5, 1974, Lanae was united in marriage in Laurel to William Ladd. Together, they shared over 52 years of marriage and raised two children.
A woman with a heart for caregiving, Lanae worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant for many years. Throughout her career, she was a dedicated employee of Walmart, Heritage House, and Stant.
Lanae was a faithful member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses. In her leisure time, she found great joy in the simple beauties of life, such as planting flowers and spending time with her family. She loved going for rides, traveling, and riding motorcycles. Devoted to her faith, she frequently spent time writing letters to others to share the Bible message.
Survivors include her husband, William Ladd; two children, Christie (Michael) Hoeing and Billy (Ilenia) Ladd; three grandchildren, Samantha Hoeing, Cynthia Searles, and Kyren Hoeing; and a great-grandchild, Franklin Doolin. She is also survived by a sister, Kim (Darrell) Russell; a brother, Lance (Mary) Smith; and a cousin, Keith (Debbie) Combs.
Lanae was preceded in death by her mother, Donna Hoskins; and a sister, Tammy Caldwell.
A memorial talk will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 4, 2026, at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 3171 E State Road 44, Connersville. Reggie Crawford will officiate. Miller, Moster, Robbins Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
