If you live along the parade route or plan on heading out to the Fayette County Free Fair Parade this Sunday, the Connersville Police Department has released a few important parking and traffic reminders.

The parade kicks off at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 26, but officers are warning that all vehicles parked along the route must be moved by 1:00 p.m. That applies to residents living on the route as well as spectators arriving early. Any cars left on the street after 1:00 p.m. are subject to being towed to ensure the route is completely clear for the parade.

CPD will also put barricades in place at 1:00 p.m. Moving a barricade or driving into restricted areas could result in a citation.

Lineup starts on West 21st Street, stretching from Grand Avenue back to the Ivy Tech parking lot. From there, the parade travels north on Grand to 27th Street, turns east on 27th across Park Road, and enters Roberts Park, ending near the Park Pool.
