CONNERSVILLE — The Connersville Police Department has issued parking and traffic guidelines ahead of the annual Fayette County Free Fair Parade scheduled for Sunday, July 26.

The parade is set to begin at 2:00 p.m. Staging will take place along West 21st Street, extending from Grand Avenue back to the Ivy Tech parking lot.

From the staging area, the parade will head north on Grand Avenue to 27th Street, turn east onto 27th Street, cross Park Road, and enter Roberts Park before ending near the Park Pool area.

Police announced that all vehicles parked along the parade route must be removed by 1:00 p.m. on Sunday. The parking restriction applies to residents living along the route as well as visitors arriving early to secure spots. Any vehicle remaining on the route after the deadline is subject to towing.

Barricades will be placed at 1:00 p.m. Drivers are advised that moving barricades or entering the designated parade area could result in a citation.

Department officials stated the steps are necessary to maintain safety along the route and thanked the public for their cooperation ahead of the event.
