Fayette, Franklin, and Union County Schools Digest Latest Performance Scores

CONNERSVILLE — The federal accountability ratings for the 2025 cycle were released on July 7. The data covers public schools across Fayette, Franklin, and Union counties. These federal accountability ratings evaluate schools based on specific metrics under the Every Student Succeeds Act. Elementary and middle school scores are calculated using English proficiency, math proficiency, student growth from year to year, chronic absenteeism rates, and English language progress. High school scores are calculated using these same criteria along with graduation rates and college readiness data.

The report places schools into specific performance categories, which include Meets Expectations, Approaching Expectations, and Does Not Meet Expectations.

In the Fayette County School Corporation, two schools placed in the highest category. Fayette Central Elementary and Grandview Elementary received a Meets Expectations rating. Three schools placed in the middle category. Everton Elementary, Eastview Elementary, and Connersville Senior High School received an Approaching Expectations rating. Two schools placed in the lowest category. Frazee Elementary and Connersville Middle School received a Does Not Meet Expectations rating.

In the Franklin County Community School Corporation, two schools placed in the highest category. Franklin County High School and Mount Carmel School received a Meets Expectations rating. Two schools placed in the middle category. Brookville Elementary and Laurel School received an Approaching Expectations rating. One school placed in the lowest category. Franklin County Middle School received a Does Not Meet Expectations rating.

In the Union County College Corner Joint School District, no schools placed in the lowest category. One school placed in the highest category. Liberty Elementary School received a Meets Expectations rating. The remaining three campuses placed in the middle category. Union County High School, Union County Middle School, and College Corner Union Elementary School received an Approaching Expectations rating.
