Connersville Veteran Receives Refurbished Vehicle Thanks to GEICO, CARSTAR and the NABC Recycled Rides® Program

Press Release:

CONNERSVILLE, IN – On Tuesday, January 20, an Indianapolis-area veteran received a life-changing gift—the donation of a beautifully refurbished vehicle to support her ongoing service in the veteran community. The donation was made possible by the NABC Recycled Rides® program, vehicle donor GEICO, and repair partner CARSTAR Gulley’s Auto Body.

The presentation took place at the CARSTAR Gulley’s Auto Body location in Connersville, IN. The recipient, Tiffany Bell, was nominated by the Indiana Department of Veterans Affairs (IDVA), an organization dedicated to helping Hoosier veterans and their families obtain the benefits they have earned through their service.

A Hero Helping Heroes

Born and raised in Connersville, Bell served in the United States Marine Corps from 2005 to 2009, completing two combat deployments to Iraq. While she is now a service-connected disabled veteran, her mission has never stopped. Bell spends her time driving fellow veterans to VA appointments and providing critical mentorship regarding mental health services.

Recently, Bell’s personal vehicle developed engine issues totaling thousands of dollars in repairs, threatening her ability to assist others. This refurbished vehicle from the NABC Recycled Rides® program ensures she can continue her vital work.

Industry Leaders Unite

GEICO, a Level One partner of the National Auto Body Council®, provided the vehicle for this donation. As the program’s largest donor, GEICO has provided more than 1,000 vehicles to individuals and organizations in need.

The restoration was completed by CARSTAR Gulley’s Auto Body, part of the Driven Brands family and an I-CAR Gold Certified network. Additional partners who contributed to the success of this presentation include:

  • Evergreen Calibration, Oxford Car Care, R and R Sales and Salvage
  • Connersville City Police Department, PPG, Federated – Koi Auto Parts
  • Enterprise, Advanced Remarketing Services, and Cars for Charity
