Esther Mae (Blevins) Biggs, 78, of Novi, Michigan
Esther Mae (Blevins) Biggs, 78, of Novi, Michigan, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, January 11, 2026, surrounded by love. She was the beloved wife of Archie Biggs for 58 wonderful years, a devoted mother, and a deeply cherished grandmother whose greatest joy was time spent with her family—especially her grandchildren.
Esther dedicated more than two decades of service to the Novi Village Oaks School system, where she worked in the after-school program and as a lunch aide. Known for her kindness and caring nature, she touched the lives of countless children. In 2000, she retired to focus on what mattered most to her—her family.
Born in New Castle, Indiana, Esther was raised in Connersville, Indiana, where she built lifelong friendships and memories. After graduating high school, she moved to Novi, Michigan, where she married Archie and made her home, raising their family and becoming an integral part of the community.
Esther will be lovingly remembered by her children, Robert Biggs, Jeanna Biggs, and Stacey Christoff; her grandchildren, Jackson and Lukas Van Arnam, and Joshua and Vivienne Christoff; her sisters, Dorothy Harvey, Sue Schuler, and Jane McFarland; as well as many nieces and nephews who adored her.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Marion Blevins; her sisters, Carol Jones and Elizabeth Hollon; her sister-in-law, Deborah Blevins; and her beloved son-in-law, Christopher Van Arnam.
Esther had a joyful spirit and a love for life’s simple pleasures. She enjoyed collecting dolls and Christmas ornaments, listening to oldies music, watching Dancing with the Stars and American Idol, attending every possible event for her grandchildren, and faithfully going to her class reunions. She also had a passion for shopping and staying connected with friends—and was famous for asking nearly everyone she met if she could add them on Facebook.
Above all, Esther will be remembered for her warmth, her laughter, her devotion to family, and the genuine love she shared so freely with others. Her presence will be deeply missed and forever cherished.
