CONNERSVILLE, IN — A traffic accident involving a Fayette County School Corporation (FCSC) minibus caused minor delays on Veteran’s Memorial Drive early Thursday morning.

According to school officials, the minibus was being used for staff training at the time of the incident. Importantly, the corporation confirmed that no students were on board when the accident occurred.

Emergency responders arrived on the scene quickly to assess the situation. The school corporation released a statement confirming that all three FCSC employees involved were evaluated and released at the scene. No injuries were reported among the staff or other parties involved.

While the exact cause of the accident has not yet been detailed, officials advised motorists to avoid the area of Veteran’s Memorial Drive while crews worked to clear the scene. Traffic has since begun to return to normal.

The Fayette County School Corporation expressed gratitude that all employees are safe and thanked local emergency services for their prompt response.
