LIBERTY– Whitewater Valley REMC is proud to announce the latest impact of its Operation Round Up program. In the second half of 2025, the cooperative awarded a total of $11,932 to 16 community organizations that serve residents across the valley.
The grants support a wide range of essential services, including a $2,000 award to the Abington Township Volunteer Fire Department for new CPR and First Aid training manikins, and $1,000 for the Union County Sheriff’s Office to upgrade radios. Other recipients include local scouting troops, environmental centers, and the Town of Brookville for its annual “Winter Wonderland” lights.
“A few cents can really make a big difference,” the REMC stated in their December update. Members who participate in Operation Round Up by rounding their bills to the nearest dollar provide the funding for these grants.
Important Dates:
• Enrollment Incentive: Sign up for Operation Round Up by December 31 for a chance to win an electric snow blower.
• Next Grant Deadline: Organizations looking for funding in the first half of 2026 must submit applications by January 12, 2026.
