LIBERTY, CONNERSVILLE, BROOKVILLE – Families in Union, Fayette, and Franklin counties have a crucial opportunity to secure a $1,000 tutoring grant for their students through the state-supported Indiana Learns program. The deadline to enroll is fast approaching on Friday, December 19, 2025.

The Indiana Learns initiative is designed to provide high-quality, high-dosage tutoring in English/Language Arts (reading) and math to eligible students in grades 3 through 8. 📝 Is Your Student Eligible? Key Criteria for Local Families

The grant is targeted toward students with the highest need in the Whitewater Valley area. A student in Union, Fayette, or Franklin County must meet ALL four of the following requirements:

Residency: Student resides in Indiana.
ILEARN Score: Student completed Spring 2025 ILEARN testing and scored below proficiency in eitherMathematics or English/Language Arts.
School Enrollment: Student is in grades 3-8 and attends a school designated as CSI, TSI, or ATSI (federal designations for schools needing Comprehensive or Targeted Support).
Financial Need: Student qualifies for the federal free or reduced lunch program.

Accessing the Funds
