The Connersville FFA chapter, guided by their advisor Mrs. Eilish Harmeyer, recently participated in the intensive, weekend-long Fire Camp event. This specialized camp focused on developing critical leadership skills and fostering strong team-building among attendees.
The Connersville group, which included Lorelei Hughes, Hayden Steele, Ida Pfeiffer, and Kyndal Scott, spent the weekend engaging in challenging activities designed to test their communication, problem-solving, and collaboration abilities.
A standout achievement from the weekend belonged to Lorelei Hughes, who earned the prestigious designation of “Top Leader” for her group. Hughes demonstrated exceptional initiative, clear communication, and the ability to motivate and guide her peers throughout the camp’s rigorous schedule.
The success of Hughes and the entire Connersville team underscores the effectiveness of programs like Fire Camp in preparing young individuals for future roles that require strong leadership and cohesive teamwork.
