Everton Community to Host Benefit Dinner for Resident who battled Breast Cancer.
The community of Everton is set to rally in support of resident Cassie Steele this evening with a benefit dinner, basket raffle, and silent auction at the Everton Volunteer Fire Department. The event is scheduled to run from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. today, August 16, and aims to provide financial and emotional support for Steele and her family.

The fundraiser will be held at the fire station, located at 5495 S State Road 1 in Connersville. A full dinner including pulled pork, mashed potatoes, green beans, and desserts will be available to attendees for a free-will donation.
In addition to the meal, the event will feature multiple fundraising activities, including a basket raffle and a silent auction with a variety of items available for bidding.
Organizer Brandy Steinard said the quick and widespread community response is a testament to Steele’s own character.
“This event came together so quickly because Cassie is someone who is always bending over backwards for others,” Steindard said. “We wanted to give back that same support and show her that she is not in this fight alone. All donations are being given to Cassie and her family for the fight against breast cancer.”
Held under the banner “Her Fight Is Our Fight,” the event encourages all members of the community to attend and show their support.
