Connersville tennis opened its season with a strong conference match against Batesville on Thursday. In a meet that was more competitive early on than the final team score indicates, the Spartans managed to secure a 5-0 sweep.
- Number 1 singles: Anthony Struewing won 6-4, 6-4
- Number 2 singles: Jay McMullen won 4-6, 6-1, 6-1
- Number 3 singles: Abel Parsley won 6-1, 6-0
- Number 1 doubles: Evan Miller and Grady Simpkins won 6-3, 6-1
- Number 2 doubles: Angelo Amora and Eli Laughlin won 6-1, 6-3
The Spartans will be back in action on Saturday at 10:00 AM, hosting the Connersville Invitational. Teams scheduled to attend include Hagerstown, Lawrenceburg, and Triton Central.
