
Lavodis Ann Jones passed away on Wednesday April 8, 2026, at Ascension St. Vincent in Indianapolis, IN. Born on April 26, 1939, in south Charleston, OH, she is the daughter of the late Lones Lewis and Jewel Phillips Lewis Ferguson.
On August 29, 1970, she was united in marriage to Casey Jones in Connersville, IN. they shared 37 years together prior to his passing in 2007.
She was a Mary Kay representative for over 30 years. She was proud of being one of the biggest representatives in eastern Indiana. She also was a waitress at the White Cottage, Open Hearth, and Connersville Country Club. Lavodis was a loving wife, mother and grandmother that loved working in her flower and vegetable gardens and embordering. She was known as a very talented seamstress. She would make her own clothes, wedding dresses or whatever was needed.
Her love and memories will be cherished by her son, George Adams; stepchildren, Teresa G. Colter, James E. Jones and Ira Lee Jones; sisters, Mona F. Matthews, Yvonne R. Mercer, Shirley Ramey and Judith Jones; half-brothers, John Lewis and Ronnie Williams; as well as many nieces, nephews and several step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by her first husband, Marvin Adams, and stepsons, Greg G. Jones, Jonathon ‘Randy” Jones and Darrel C. Jones.
Friends and family may gather on Wednesday evening, April15, 2026 at Urban Winkler Funeral Home, 513 W. 8th Street, Connersville from 4:00 to 7:00 pm. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Thursday April 16, 2026, at 11:00 am with Pastor Ellis McQueen officiating. Burial will follow at Dale Cemetery.
