The Fayette County Sheriff’s Department processed the following individuals based on arrest reports from August 28 through August 30, 2026:

August 28, 2026 – Jose Emanuel Varela Varela (Age 18) was charged with operating a motor vehicle without ever obtaining a license.
August 28, 2026 – Cody Christopher Griner (Age 35) was charged with theft (shoplifting).
August 28, 2026 – Brandon Lee Downs (Age 41) was charged with theft (shoplifting).
August 28, 2026 – Matthew Wayne Webb (Age 47) was charged with criminal trespass and possession of stolen property.
August 29, 2026 – Christopher Ryan Lainhart (Age 49) was processed on an out-of-county hold and charged with possession of a Schedule I controlled substance.
August 29, 2026 – Stacy Jack Phillips (Age 49) was charged with operating a vehicle while intoxicated with a prior conviction.
August 30, 2026 – Jose A. Vazques Soilano (Age 24) was charged with unlawful taking of wild animals.
August 30, 2026 – Ada Suzette Scharschmidt (Age 51) was charged with possession of methamphetamine and possession of marijuana/hash with a prior conviction.

Note on Minors: One juvenile (age 17) was processed on August 30, 2026, for refusal to identify self, resisting law enforcement, and a railroad right-of-way violation. Per standard reporting policy, the minor’s name has been withheld.
