CONNERSVILLE — With early voting just days away, Fayette County Clerk Dawn Hughes says local election preparations are completely on track following successful equipment testing.
“Early test went well. Everything’s good to go on that,” Hughes said, confirming the county’s voting systems are locked in and ready for the upcoming election cycle.
For residents looking to participate, time is running short to get on the rolls. The final day to register to vote or update existing registration records for the general election is Monday, Oct. 5.
In-person early voting kicks off the following day on Tuesday, Oct. 6, inside the Fayette County Courthouse, located at 401 N. Central Ave. in Connersville.
Fayette County Early Voting Schedule
- Weekdays (Starting Oct. 6): 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
- Saturday, Oct. 24: 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
- Saturday, Oct. 31: 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Hughes encouraged voters to review their options and verify their details ahead of time to streamline the process at the courthouse.
“You can get a copy of who’s on your ballot at IndianaVoters.in.gov,” Hughes said. “You can apply to register to vote there, check voting status, get forms, and find local polling place.”
