The Connersville High School junior varsity Spartans delivered a dominant performance on both sides of the ball, shutting out the Rushville junior varsity Lions 24-0.
Michael Mason led the offensive charge for the Spartans, finding the end zone twice and punching in a pair of two-point conversions. Adam Allen also made his presence felt throughout the contest, adding a touchdown to the scoreboard. Gavin Mullins contributed with a successful two-point conversion to help lock down the victory.
The Spartans defense stood tall from start to finish, keeping the Lions off the board entirely. Allen put the final stamp on the shutout late in the fourth quarter, hauling in an interception to officially seal the game pushing their season record to 4-1.
