Some people leave behind buildings.
Some leave behind businesses.
And some leave behind a feeling… a vision… a sense of community that continues long after they are gone.
For many in Connersville, Brad Wilson was one of those people.
Celebration in the Ville was more than just an event idea. It was about bringing people back together after a difficult season in life. Music downtown. Families laughing. Food trucks lining the streets. Kids playing. Neighbors reconnecting. Community feeling like community again.
This year, CITV is once again honoring Brad’s vision and memory — including his favorite quote displayed throughout the festival alongside his signature.
“Always look through the windshield, not the rearview mirror.”
We would love for this post to become a place where the community can remember him together. ❤️
If you knew Brad, worked with him, attended CITV because of his vision, or simply have a story or memory to share, please leave it in the comments below.
We would also love for you to send us photos of Brad at Celebration in the Ville or tag your memories using #RememberingBradWilson so we can share them and help keep his memory part of this special event.
And if you believe local people who pour into their communities deserve to be remembered, help us honor Brad by liking this post, sharing it so others can see it, tagging friends and family who may have memories, and leaving a comment below.
Sometimes the greatest legacy a person leaves behind is the way they made a community feel.
