The Franklin County Sheriff’s Department has officially released its 2025 annual service metrics, highlighting a year defined by high call volumes and a steadfast commitment to public safety. Over the past twelve months, the department responded to 10,079 calls for service, underscoring the vital role law enforcement plays in the daily lives of county residents.
By the Numbers: A Year of Active Policing

Road Safety and Emergency Response
Traffic safety remained a primary focus for deputies this year. While the department conducted nearly 1,900 traffic stops to ensure roadway compliance, deputies also investigated 443 traffic accidents. Tragically, nine of those incidents resulted in fatalities, a somber reminder of the ongoing need for vigilant driving and safety enforcement within the community.
Beyond the patrol beat, the department’s administrative and civil duties remained robust. Personnel completed 921 civil process services, a critical function that ensures the local legal and judicial systems operate efficiently.
