Connersville Fire Department receives a grant from Whitewater Valley REMC Community Trust

Liberty, IN – Connersville Fire Department has been awarded a grant of $1,000 from the Whitewater Valley REMC Community Trust. The grant provides funds to assist in the purchase of new safety equipment for its Swift-Water River Rescue program.
Scott Jones and Nate Stevens, on behalf of the Connersville Fire Department, accepted the grant from Whitewater Valley REMC Community Trust trustees Maya Hughes and Sara Jane Moyer on Tuesday May 27, 2025.
In addition to this grant, Whitewater Valley REMC Community Trust recently awarded grants to fourteen other local not-for-profit organizations.
The Whitewater Valley REMC Community Trust, Inc. trustees meet quarterly on the fourth Tuesday of January, April, July, and October to review applications for grants. Applications and information about the program can be found at http://www.wwvremc.com under Member Services.
