Connersville Man Faces Additional Child Exploitation Charges Following Courthouse Arrest Quinton Perkins, of Connersville, who was arrested Tuesday, Feb. 18th before a scheduled hearing in Superior Court at the Fayette County Courthouse, now faces additional alleged charges related to firearms and child exploitation. Perkins was taken into custody around 9 a.m. and faces alleged charges of felony intimidation and resisting law enforcement stemming from alleged threatening social media posts and events at the courthouse. Sheriff Zac Jones confirmed that Perkins was not armed at the time of his arrest at the courthouse. The investigation began after the Connersville Police Department received an email on Feb. 12th from a concerned citizen regarding alleged threatening posts on Perkins’ Facebook page. Following the arrest, a search warrant was executed at his home. According to a police report officers seized multiple firearms from the residence, including a Savage 17 HMR rifle found in Perkins’ room. A BB gun and the box for a firearm previously seized in connection with an earlier incident were also found in his room. As a result of the search, Perkins faces an additional alleged charge of unlawful carrying of a handgun. During the arrest Perkins was uncooperative, resulting in officers deploying a taser multiple times. As part of the ongoing investigation, on February 25th, 2025, Detective Joshua Tudor of the Connersville Police Department executed a search warrant on Quinton Perkins’ phone, which had been seized during the residential search. During the examination of the phone’s photo gallery, Detective Tudor discovered multiple images of children in a state of undress. Further investigation revealed approximately 40 images of alleged Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM) on the device. These images were screenshots from internet searches conducted using the DuckDuckGo browser. According to the probable cause many of the images depicted children allegedly under 10 years old with exposed buttocks or genitals. Search parameters found within the screenshots included phrases such as “kids bare a*%” and “boy butt.” An additional screenshot depicted a video showing two juvenile males, with allegedly one male appearing to be engaged in a sexual act with the other. Detective Tudor, who obtained an additional warrant on Feb 26th, has submitted the device to the High Tech Crime Unit for forensic extraction and Perkins has been charged with the crime of Child Expolitation; possession of child pornography
